This Uncharted 4 trailer seems to pay tribute to Crash Bandicoot

In 1996, Naughty Dog has had a huge success with the first part in the Crash Bandicoot franchise. If you remember how that game started out and then saw the E3 trailer of Uncharted 4 – this game is planned to be released this year -, you might have spotted some similarities… and remember, Naughty Dog is the team behind Uncharted as well!

The similarities are quite disturbing. Let’s start by the fact how Nathan Drake is lying on the shore with his face down into the waves, just like how Crash did. They both wake up and then head into a jungle. Sure, it might just be a simple yet effective homage by Naughty Dog towards their older game, but what if it’s more than that? Remember Crash’s silhouette on a sign in a PS4 trailer, not long after how Activision wiped Crash’s existence off their website… am I the only one who’d like to see a new Crash game?
