Square Enix seems to have reverted their original plans. During last year’s PlayStation Experience, they announced Final Fantasy VII being ported to the PS4, based upon the PC version.

They probably saw how shocking this was, so instead, they decided to actually remake Final Fantasy VII, which is going to come to the PlayStation 4 first. This means it’s likely hitting Xbox One and PC later. No idea when, as there’s no release date yet, likely 2016. The trailer says a lot…
