Shadow of the Beast is seriously becoming more and more appealing as time passes since its announcement. Despite this PlayStation 4-exclusive reboot not having a release date yet (our guess would be February 2016), it still already managed to recreate Karamoon’s world quite nicely. Thankfully, we don’t have to take on Maletoth and his army alone.
Players will be able to call for souls of other players to help in battles (hm, where have we seen this before?), so Heavy Spectrum Entertainment Labs seemingly managed to take cues from other games. The violence however, is completely their own idea.
Our enemies fall apart in a very aggressive fashion, and we really didn’t go into detail yet… but eventually, we will also fall, especially if we play the Survival mode later on.
You can already pre-order Shadow of the Beast on PlayStation Network, and this game might perfectly show that you don’t always need the third dimension to have a great experience. (For example, Shovel Knight, which wasn’t a graphically impressive title, still had a great experience, and in just two dimensions!)
