[PGW 2015] Here’s Housemarque’s new game, Matterfall! [VIDEO]

Paris Game Week brought us several announcements, and this is one of them, namely, Housemarque‘s Matterfall. In its style, it pretty much brings us their usual trademark fast-paced arcade shooter gameplay down to a T seen in Resogun, Dead Nation or Super Stardust. That’s a good start.

One, so far unnamed (and „unexpected”) hero – who really seems to resemble the protagonist of PlatinumGames’ Vanquish – has to fight in a nicely done futuristic world against an alien lifeform or material named Smart Matter and its army of (infected or created?) enemies, otherwise unsurprisingly, the humanity will fall.

The visuals are impressive: this futuristic megalopolis has lots of potential, hopefully it can be pushed further with nice background music and possibly a good story in the final game. There is no release date announced yet, but we believe in Housemarque‘s know-how. The trailer is quite stylish, nicely done!

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
