There’s way more to the new PS Vita firmware than just removing the Facebook app: it also made the handheld instable! The 3.57 firmware is available since January 20, and it didn’t improve the situation. In fact, it made both the PS Vita and the PS TV worse than ever.
After installing the firmware, a lot of people reported inability to connect to the PlayStation Store and PlayStation Network! Seeing how these are both necessary for the devices, it’s already a huge problem. Add the fact that the battery life seems to be shorter since 3.57, the situation is even worse. We haven’t even gone into our personal experiences yet.
Since we installed the 3.57 firmware, nor our PS Vita, neither our PS TV is unable to connect to our internal network. We never had an issue with this, so it must be the new system update. Unbelievable. Sony has to react to this as soon as possible because what the firm is doing with the PS Vita is shocking. They can’t blame it on being busy with creating SIE. This has to be fixed.
