Todd Howard receives a lifetime award!

Morrowind, Oblivion, Fallout 3, Skyrim, Fallout 4. Just a few of the games that Todd Howard worked on in the past decades. Howard’s work at Bethesda Game Studios is outstanding, and he’s going to be rewarded for his hard work. He’ll receive the Game Developers Conference Lifetime Award.

With this result, Howard gets elevated into an elite group of awarded members: Will Wright (SimCity, The Sims), Yuji Naka (Sonic the Hedgehog, Phantasy Star), Gunpei Yokoi (Game Boy), Mark Cerny, Eugene Jarvis (Defender, Robotron: 2084), Richard Garriott (Ultima, Tabula Rasa), Shigeru Miyamoto, Sid Meier (Colonization, Civilization, Pirates!), Hideo Kojima, John Carmack, Peter Molyneux (Populous, Dungeon Keeper, Black & White, Fable…), Warren Spector (Wing Commander, System Shock, Deus Ex, Thief), Ray Muzyka, Greg Zeschuk (Bioware-founders!) and Ken Kutaragi („The Father of PlayStation”) are the previously awarded members.

Todd Howard will receive this award on March 16 at GDC. This event is going to be live streamed via Twitch. Congratulations!

Anikó, our news editor and communication manager, is more interested in the business side of the gaming industry. She worked at banks, and she has a vast knowledge of business life. Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
