PS Vita: The PSN is now accessible!

Sony has fixed the „network issues” that hit the PlayStation Vita since the arrival of the 3.57 firmware update. You can now access the PSN. Sony stated that the issue is unrelated to the new system update (which also kicked out the Facebook application, this also applies for the PS3 as well).

Until now, if you tried to connect to the PlayStation Network with your PS Vita, all you would have received was a „Please wait…” message and nothing else. While Sony has fixed one of the jarring issues that surfaced since update 3.57, they seem to have forgotten something! The battery still drains quicker even if we leave the PS Vita in its standby mode. This was never a problem before the new firmware!

Sony didn’t explain in detail what the network issue was. They are continuing the style of communication that began with the early January and February PlayStation Network outages: they either talk a few words or completely skip the explanation.
