MOVIE NEWS – This December, the Star Wars universe is starting with the first of their Anthology movies with Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Months of reports and teases past, their first teaser trailer is finally here! Take a look!

Taking place shortly before Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope, the standalone Rogue One: A Star Wars Story will follow a ragtag team of Rebel spies who were banded together for an important mission: to steal the Death Star plans.

The cast includes Felicity Jones as the lead, Mads Mikkselsen, Alan Tudyk reportedly voicing a reprogrammed Imperial droid and Jonathan Aris and Senator Jebel. Darth Vader is also heavily rumored to play a major role in the movie, which makes sense given that he was tracking down the missing plans in A New Hope.

With Star Wars: Episode VIII not coming until December of next year, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story should keep fans’ appetites whetted as they learn about this never-before-told event in Star Wars history.

Directed by Godzilla’s Gareth Edwards, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story arrives in theaters on December 16.
