Battlefield 1 finally revealed itself on Friday. The game invites the players back to World War I. The crowd seemed to have accepted this decision positively, which probably was more fuel to the fire around Call of Duty Infinite Warfare that received even more dislikes since then. (It’s now over a million, so good job Infinity Ward/Activision.)
There’s a slight problem, though. We’d call this issue the Battlefront syndrome. Sure, the trailer looked great, and it had a decent ambiance, we haven’t seen gameplay yet. That’s not the issue. The problem is that apparently, the developers (DICE) plan only SIX singleplayer missions into Battlefield 1! They are called Friends in High Places, Nothing is Written, Through Mud and Blood, Avanti Savoia!, The Runner, and Epilogue.
It seems that Battlefield 1 – which will launch on October 21 on PS4, X1, and PC – will continue to be multiplayer-oriented…
