You’ll Have to Wait a Bit for the Final Fantasy XII Remaster [VIDEO]

It’s not a rumor anymore; Square Enix has confirmed that Final Fantasy XII is receiving a makeover!

The original PlayStation 2 version wasn’t too shabby a decade ago, but the facelifted re-release can approach a wider audience. The remaster’s called Final Fantasy XII The Zodiac Age. Only the PlayStation 4 is mentioned as a target platform with a 2017 release. Is Zodiac Age sticking to the Sony-exclusive approach? We don’t know yet, but it’s likely that the game will get a Xbox One and a PC port as well. (Hopefully, the PC port won’t be terrible…)

Final Fantasy XII had two versions, the original, and the international one. In the original Final Fantasy XII, players can unlock the full License Board for all characters; in the International version, players need to choose a Job from a list and are only able to unlock license available for the specific job, which cannot be changed after the initial selection. We’ll have to see which edition Square Enix based the remaster on…

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
