LittleBigPlanet: The Shutdown Is Imminent!

In case LittleBigPlanet is one of those regularly played games on your PlayStation platforms, here’s a warning ahead of time regarding server shutdowns.

In Japan, in an aggressive manner, LittleBigPlanet‘s first, second, third installment, Portable on the PSP, as well as the PS Vita version, and Karting (also on Vita) will see their servers shut down on July 31. With this decision, it is effectively game over for Sackboy in Japan Thankfully; the other regions won’t see a shutdown to this scale: only handheld games will be affected – Portable and Karting gets their servers turned off on July 31, and August 31, respectively.

As Media Molecule, the original developers of the franchise (3 was developed by Sumo Digital, who are maybe still working on Dead Island 2), have moved on to work on Dreams, seeing Sony shutting servers down makes sense.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
