The Last Guardian’s Evolution: 9 Years In The Making [VIDEO]

Team ICO’s latest game got a great analysis.

DigitalFoundry went all the way back to the first trailer through the re-reveal, and the final version is running on both the PlayStation 4 and its PS4 Pro variant, covering the roughly one decade while the game was in development. It’s an overview of the game’s evolution.

There will be significant changes without a doubt: The Last Guardian was originally planned as a PlayStation 3 title, but Fumito Ueda and his team moved over to the PlayStation 4. We can also see how much of a difference can a PlayStation 4 Pro make with the adventures of Trico and the kid.

We’d like to see something similar for Nioh as well – the first trailer of that game for the PlayStation 3 was made in 2005, so DigitalFoundry would have their work cut out for Team Ninja’s RPG, too.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
