Forget 1313, and wait for Battlefront 2‘s single player campaign instead.
In the latest Achievement Podcast, Justin McCully, brand manager of Star Wars at Electronic Arts, talked about two games in the franchise.
„The focus of the first [Battlefront] game was to nail the core multiplayer experience of what DICE does great. That was the strategy of that title,” McCully says. With the sequel, which is planned to launch during the 2017 holiday season, co-developed with Motive Studios (founded by Jade Raymond), DICE’s goal is to go for a single player experience as well due to fan demand.
McCully also mentioned Star Wars: 1313, which was put on thin ice previously – Electronic Arts has no plans to revive the game, but its core ideas might show up in other games.
All that’s left for us is to wait for Battlefront 2 then – a lot of EA employees said that it would be bigger than the first game.
