You don’t have to wait several seconds to enter a room!
Guerrilla Games now talks about how they revamped their engine (Decima, which will be used by Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding as well!) to avoid loading screens while exploring the open world, regardless of the players going underground or just running around on the top of the surface.
The developers also focused on facial animations: they believe most RPGs are having questionable quality on these. Therefore, they recorded fifteen hours of dialogue in their motion capture studio.
Colleagues already congratulate Guerrilla: Bioware’s general manager, Aaryn Flynn says making a new IP is a hard thing to do (and since they also work one right now, he knows what he talks about), but it helps the gaming industry. Fair play.
Horizon Zero Dawn launches exclusively on the PlayStation 4 on February 28 or March 1 in North America and Europe, respectively. SuperData, an analyzing firm, thinks the game can sell as much as 6-8 million copies over its lifetime.
Congratulations to @Guerrilla on Horizon: Zero Dawn! Making new IP is hard, but so important for our industry. Can’t wait to play 🙂
