PlayStation 4: New Results And Expectations Revealed

Sony aims high with the PlayStation 4.

The Japanese company has revealed their financial results, and in it, they also mentioned how the PlayStation 4 was shipped in twenty million copies between April 2016 and March 2017, meaning that the PS4 is now at 60 million shipped consoles… without it being four years old yet!

However, Sony seems to have toned down its predictions for the 2017 fiscal year: they expect 18 million PS4s shipped between April 2017 and the end of March 2018, which is a good ten percent below last year’s result. Perhaps they are somewhat afraid of Microsoft’s upcoming Project Scorpio?

Whatever their mindset is, Sony has had a good run with the PlayStation 4 so far. Nice results!
