Marvel Is Preparing For VR (And Success, It Seems)

Marvel seems to be a little too optimistic.

Gamespot had an interview with Marvel‘s Vice President of games and innovations, Jay Ong. In it, Jay Ong said that they would have multiple (!) announcements regarding virtual reality, and they don’t consider making things for the platform just for the sake of novelty.

„In VR, we have that same ambition. We think if we do something there, it shouldn’t be just for the novelty of it. It should be something that defines the platform, which defines the experience. Certainly, we’re looking to build when Spider-Man comes out, it’ll be one of the best games on the platform, and when Avengers comes out, it’ll be one of the best games on those platforms. We think our efforts in VR will be the same thing,” he said. Too much optimism, perhaps?

The PlayStation 4-exclusive, Insomniac Games-developed Spider-Man game should be out this year in stores and on the PlayStation Store.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
