SEGA Wants To Revive Its Past

SEGA has big plans (as big as possible without manufacturing consoles, of course).

SEGA Sammy Group’s future plans with business strategies were split to two, to digital and packaged (aka physical) games. With the digital portion, you can read the usual things that a major company tries to achieve, although there is one point that caught our attention. „Develop next-gen titles.” As the PS4 and X1 have been out for 3.5 years, we cannot consider these machines as next-gen anymore. Intriguing.

The physical business strategies include bullet points such as „Challenge for new IPs,” which, frankly, sounds a little Engrish at first glance. The point of interest here is the point right after: „Revival for major IPs” – hold on for just a second.

SEGA has a rich history, and immediately, two franchises pop in our heads: Alex Kidd, and Daytona USA. There’s a few more that you could think, like Golden Axe. That would be a good idea, too.

Well, it seems like we have to keep an eye on good old SEGA

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
