Is Square Enix Working On A Major RPG’s Sequel?

The Japanese company is up to something!

DualShockers  writes based on Japanese recruitment site ECareerFA that an unnamed company is looking for a 2D artist for a „super-famous RPG series’ numbered title.” As Final Fantasy XV’s DLCs require a smaller workforce than the game itself, and Dragon Quest XI’s Japanese launch is close, they might be working on the next game’s concept.

The artist would be working on the concepts of towns, fields, dungeons, background props like furniture and emblems, vehicles, weapons, items and map icons. Going by this description, the development seems to be an early phase.

Why do we think it’s Square Enix? The hints are there: huge RPGs, online games, Taito Station arcades, and so on. As Taito is owned by Square Enix, and the other things can be applied to the company as well, we don’t need to look further than them.

Let’s just wait to see what Square Enix has on its mind.
