Tekken 7: The Input Lag Is Because Of Unreal Engine 4

Katsuhiro Harada, the father of the franchise, says that the input lag is not our (or their) fault…

Previously, we wrote about how Tekken 7 on the PlayStation 4 has bad input lag, especially if we compare it to other fighting games on the platform. Bandai Namco’s game designer, Michael Murray says there is no such thing as an eight frame buffer (the time you have to wait from pushing the button to the action on the screen to happen). Harada also chimed in, and said that that Unreal Engine 4, which is used by Tekken 7, „eats” 3-4 frames per second, and he also thinks the input lag measurement method is also wrong.

The developers point their fingers at Epic, the creator of the Unreal Engine…

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
