Gravel: Developer Diary #1 – The Technical Evolution [VIDEO]

Milestone and technical evolution.

The Italian team, who recently developed the MotoGP and MXGP series, have talked about Gravel on the PlayStation Blog. It is going to be an off-road arcade racer title. But what is the relation of the dev diary to technical improvements? Well, as they have already used it this year with MXGP (and will plan to use it in MotoGP next year, unless Dorna takes the license away from them), Gravel will utilize Unreal Engine 4.

„Did we mention everything is wrapped-up in a faux TV-Show, inspired by the best extreme-sports channels that will take you to some of the most beautiful places in the world? Yes, we know it’s a lot, but this is Gravel: the quintessential arcade racer, where fun and show business become one. And you will be at the center of it all, competing against the Masters — elected champions of the previous years,” the post reads.

The game will be out in early 2018 on PlayStation 4, and probably Xbox One, and PC. Milestone has a long way to improve.

A intresting fact for the end: at 49 seconds, check out the censored Xbox controller.
