Housemarque’s futuristic bullet hell is a pleasant sight for the weekend.

Again, the video originates from the PlayStation Blog featuring the Finnish team’s new game. Housemarque has previously made titles such as Resogun, Alienation, and Nex Machina.

Matterfall is a twin-stick, side scrolling shooter „that transports you to the towering vertical cities of a distant future. You’ll need to suit up and fight for control of the mysterious “smart matter” that is over-running your world and giving rise to hordes of matter-infected enemies. Cue thumb cramps and massive explosions,” the post reads. The video is commentated by Jari Hokkanen, a level designer, who grabbed a DualShock 4 and completed a level, also showing a boss fight.

Matterfall is out on August 15, exclusively on PlayStation 4. It’s going to be a good warmup for the second half of the month with a ton of massive titles.
