Is Obsidian Working On An AAA RPG With The Makers Of Fallout?

A secret project is slowly getting revealed.

In early 2016, Tim Cain and Leonard Boyarsky started working on something which uses Unreal Engine 4. Regarding this project, we learned via the job listing of Obsidian that it’s going to be a multiplatform RPG title. Mentioning Unreal Engine 4 means this game should be related to the Cain-Boyarsky project. Who are those? Well… they were the makers of the original Fallout games!

They require an entire user interface team, which means it’s probably a game that has a publisher attached to it. Back in April, Tim Cain said at the Reboot Develop conference that he’s working on a new IP, which will use a lot of the humor style seen in the Fallout and Arcanum games. The USGamer interview has Feargus saying at 35:42 that he’s replaying Fallout: New Vegas because of this game, but then he said the game is not related to fallout.

We’ll see.
