Attack On Titan 2 Will Have Over Thirty Playable Characters

We learned more about the upcoming Koei Tecmo game.

Gematsu discussed a few new details about Attack on Titan 2, based on the newest Famitsu issue. The game will have over thirty playable characters, so Eren, Mikasa, Armin, and Levi will be joined by Mike Zacharias, Nanaba, and Gelgar, amongst many others, including surprises. In Story mode, switching between characters at any given time is not going to be available.

The story will be more packed than the first game, and it will be based on the events of the anime up until the end of its second season – there will be no original story and modification, but it will take images, videos, and music from the anime. There will be side stories to build your relationship with your colleagues. Future Coordinates Chapter, Reiner, Annie, and Bertholdt Chapter, Ymir and Christa Chapter – these are confirmed to be included, and there will be two side stories (Ilse’s Notebook Chapter, A Choice with No Regrets), too. In case you didn’t play the first game, you will get a quick recap.

Attack on Titan 2 will come with online co-op, and finding your enemies will be easy with the usage of monoculars. On October 24, Koei Tecmo will be holding a live stream, where Hisashi Koinuma, the producer, will talk more about the game.

Attack on Titan 2 is going to launch in early 2018 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC. (In Japan, the Xbox One port will be replaced with a PlayStation Vita version.)
