Ninja Theory released several figures regarding their latest game.
Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice had 75 thousand pre-orders total on PlayStation 4 and PC, and during its launch week, it got a quarter million sales with its thirty dollar/euro price. In the first three months (so from August 8 to November 8), the unique, stylish adventure generated thirteen million dollars of revenue, while selling half a million copies total, but only in digital, as the game had no physical release. The PC and the PlayStation 4 had a roughly 50-50 ratio in sales.
With these results, the development is now profitable for Ninja Theory, as they aimed to reach half a million sales in six months – therefore, their game, which was developed for three years by roughly a 20-people team, can now be considered as a success.
To celebrate, they launched their final development diary video.
