Alien: Isolation And Halo Wars Developer Preparing Something Big!

Their biggest project is in development at the moment – that got our attention.

Creative Assembly has worked on Alien: Isolation, Halo Wars 2, and the Total War series. Now, they are developing a new IP, which, going by their words, is the „biggest multiformat project Creative Assembly has ever undertaken.” They need several new employees for it – for example, a Lead Systems Designer: „You will lead the Gameplay Systems team, developing the core gameplay systems, such as weapons, movement, abilities, gadgets, health, and other underlying gameplay systems. You will collaborate and communicate closely with the project’s creative leaders to effectively deliver on the vision of the game.”

Weapons, movement, gadgets – these don’t sound like things you’d often see in a strategy game. They also look for a Senior Meta Game Designer: „Working with the Design Director, you will be responsible for defining the range and depth of the meta game. You will be designing and implementing the game’s Meta framework, including economy, progression and retention methods, leaderboards, challenges, world-building, and events.”

Going by these job listings, it looks like the new IP WILL have multiplayer, and it possibly will be a live service (as it will contain economy, progression, and retention methods). That sounds a bit like The Division. What will it be – a new MOBA? Something SEGA-related? (SEGA owns Creative Assembly…)

Anikó, our news editor and communication manager, is more interested in the business side of the gaming industry. She worked at banks, and she has a vast knowledge of business life. Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
