The Creators of Anthem Deny That They Will Use Techniques To Encourage Microtransactions

In BioWare, they say they do not know where the rumors have come from nor do they intend to do anything similar.

In a series of talks by Reddit with the fans, Brennon Holmes, one of the people in charge of BioWare for the development of Anthem, has talked with the users about an aspect that worried them: the possible increase of the hook the microtransactions.

In recent times, Electronic Arts have made headlines for creating a patent to promote the game and microtransactions that some rumors pointed to that could even get implemented in the multiplayer shooter that is scheduled for this year. We did not echo that information since there was no reliable source to support it. However, it has reached the ears of a Holmes who has denied it outright.

“I am not sure where this information comes from, but we do not plan to do any of that,” said Holmes, who was asked directly about whether the game would opt for the dreaded Dynamic Difficulty setting that could balance or more, well, unbalance the items to increase the use of microtransactions.
