Denuvo Has A New Owner!

This company previously tried to remove one of the pornographic adaptations of Overwatch

Denuvo – an anti-tamper software that could cause problems for PC owners. For example, a game couldn’t be played without connecting once in a while to its servers, or, as was the case with Sonic Mania until its bug got fixed, you were constantly required to be online to play the game… and then, we didn’t even talk about Assassin’s Creed: Origins, which has weak performance, possibly caused by VMProtect, another software protection technology. No joke, in Ubisoft’s game, a DRM protects a DRM, and we didn’t even go into uPlay yet! Still, Denuvo does its job well: it’s not an easy-to-crack solution. The company already released its 5.0 version in the new patch of Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite after an italian scene group, CPY, recently released a bypassed version of a game that used the 4.8 version. The situation will tighten up, though…

Irdeto, a digital security company, has purchased Denuvo, which is likely going to benefit from Irdeto’s Cloakware technology, which means more publishers will use Denuvo, which, in return, could lower piracy. But wait a minute, Irdeto?

Irdeto removed one of many Overwatch pornographic videos from Gfycat, and on the image, we don’t see that Blizzard claimed the removal! Instead, it was Irdeto! That’s not the best way to gain attention, though…

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
