The French publisher believes that one of their games are unlikely to follow the still widely successful PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds’ genre or style.
Ghost Recon: Wildlands, which yesterday was in the news for another reason (namely Sam Fisher of Splinter Cell fame showing up in the game for a mission), is unlikely to follow Fortnite/PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds if we can believe this reply on Twitter. A fan had a question if Ubisoft can utilize the Bolivian landscape for a one hundred player multiplayer game mode.
„We understand the allure of the Battle Royale game mode and while it may seem like a natural direction for Ghost War. However, it would involve changes in the game structure and technical challenges that are simply impossible to undertake right now,” the reply says.
That „right now” term must have been used intentionally in the response. That’s all we say…
