More details about surfaced Spider-Man, which was analyzed by Game Informer earlier this week (and we also recapped the most information we could find).
Insomniac Games continues to answer questions on Twitter. This is how we learned that the reason behind the 30 FPS frame rate on both PlayStation 4 (Slim) and PlayStation 4 Pro is that it’s optimized „for a combination of the best performance and fidelity,” and the PlayStation 4 Pro‘s increased power will be „used to its fullest.”
Regarding the web swinging (which is how Spider-Man traverses New York City), Insomniac said that there would be no other modes because they „have a pretty great implementation that’s easy to pick up but leaves tons of room for mastery.” There’s no official information about the game size yet, but the developers said it would be „big,” which means we should forget the rule already (open-world game = small size).
Although there’s no official information regarding a demo (we think they’ll time one for the E3…), Spider-Man‘s release date is set in stone at the moment: September 7, exclusively on PlayStation 4.
