Avengers + Fortnite = Thanos Hops Over To Epic's Battle Royale Game!

Avengers: Infinity War is successful (and that’s lightly put!), so it’s no surprise to see it showing up here and there. (It also popped up in God of War, too!)

Entertainment Weekly reports that there will be a limited time game mode in Fortnite: Battle Royale called Infinity Gauntlet Limited Time Mashup. Here, the match starts out as an ordinary battle royale match, but the map has the Infinity Gauntlet hidden somewhere. Whoever finds and picks it up will be turned to Thanos, capable of using his power, too!

The idea originated from Infinity War‘s directors, Joe and Anthony Russo. While editing the movie, they thought about how they could get the movie be part of a few games, and they talked with Donald Mustard, the creative director of Epic Games. That’s how the Avengers-Fortnite mashup came to fruition.

The game mode is available from today on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, iOS, and Android!
