Jim Carrey would be Robotnik in the Sonic the Hedgehog movie

MOVIE NEWS – The Paramount movie will combine real actors with CGI.

According to Deadline sources , actor Jim Carrey is in negotiations to bring Dr. Robotnik to life in the Sonic the Hedgehog movie in which Paramount is working. The new work by Jeff Fowler (Where the monsters live, Gopher Broke) is expected to hit theaters in 2019.

Carrey would join James Marsden and Tika Sumpter in the cast. On the other hand, he will have Neal Moritz and Tim Miller as producers, and Pat Casey and Josh Miller after the script. The premise of the film will be true to the Sonic games: the protagonists must frustrate their plans for world domination.

The film will be shot in summer in Vancouver. As we learned a few months ago, Paramount will seek to mix real action and CGI sequences in Sonic the Hedgehog.
