There might be a good reason why the trilogy was pushed from September to November.
Previously, we wrote about how only the first game will be on the Spyro Reignited Trilogy disc, regardless of the platform (PlayStation 4 or Xbox One). That news shocked the Internet and caused some backlash as well. However, a YouTuber, YongYea, claims based on his sources that this situation might change.
Toys for Bob, the game’s developers, said that the trilogy deserves more love and care. That term could mean that they asked Activision to delay the game to allow them to finish up Spyro 2 and 3, and thus make them available on the disc, like how Crash Bandicoot: N. Sane Trilogy had all three titles ready to play on the Blu-ray disc a year ago. Let’s hope the rumours are true.
Meanwhile, Activision confirmed to IGN that some download will still happen, although we don’t know yet what it would contain. (Let’s pray that it won’t be some activation code for the discs to block used game sales.)
Spyro Reignited Trilogy will launch on November 13 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
