Days Gone Is Delayed (Again)!

It looks like Sony decided to back out from the February 22 „death day!”

February 22 will be an interesting day: on this day, the Xbox One/Windows 10 title Crackdown 3 is coming out after several years of development, then there’s the multiplatform Metro Exodus, as well as BioWare’s multiplat game Anthem, plus those who buy the Deluxe Edition of DiRT Rally 2.0 would also be able to play from this Friday.

Well, Sony Interactive Entertainment Bend Studio’s game isn’t going to come out on this day: the PlayStation Blog has a message from Asad Qizilbash, SIE America’s marketing vice president: „We want to share a change in release date for this highly anticipated title from Bend Studio. We recently decided to move the release of Days Gone from the crowded February timeframe to April 26, 2019. While the studio is eager to see Days Gone in the hands of fans, Bend Studio will take the opportunity to further polish Days Gone. […]”

Wow. Is Sony afraid of the Anthem/Crackdown 3/Metro Exodus trio? They might think that a delay to April would help Days Gone succeed. After all, on April 20, God of War launched this year, and look how successful that game has become…

Let’s hope that the PlayStation 4-exclusive game’s quality is not the issue (as initially, Days Gone was set to come out in 2017)…
