Destiny 2 does not meet the sale expectations of Activision

Despite the good reception of Forsaken, it has not attracted as many fans as they expected.

In a meeting with the company’s investors, Activision said that Destiny 2 is not meeting sales expectations and, therefore, must continue working to attract fans of the original and new players.

“Some of our franchises, such as Destiny, are not working as well as we would like, ” they said from the company also responsible for the Call of Duty franchise. This statement comes a few days after Destiny 2 was offered free for Battle.Net users. with a special promotion that ends on November 18. A movement that some have seen as a symptom that the video game of Bungie, authors of the Halo series, has not sold as much as expected.

“We have not yet seen the full commitment of players with Destiny,” said one of Activision‘s top executives, Coddy Johnson, “which has led to below-expected sales performance.” Some players are in “wait” mode. And see what happens’ “, continues the manager. “Those who are inside are already deeply committed [to the game], if they are not, we believe that the time has come to bring those players back.”

Last September Destiny 2 received a remarkable expansion of content that rekindled the passion for this action adventure and science fiction. In our analysis of Destiny 2: The Forsaken, we tell you how the base game changes and all the news it receives.
