One Dead or Alive expands, another one gets a new port.

Team Ninja and Koei Tecmo announced three more characters for Dead or Alive 6: they are NiCO (scientist utilising plasma in her attacks), Kokori (a Ba Ji Quan master), and La Mariposa (a luchadora specialised to aerial attacks). They are mostly what we could expect from the franchise: a bit of variety with female characters. Dead or Alive 6 will launch on February 15 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Japan will also get an arcade version.

Dead or Alive Xtreme 3, which did not get a Western release due to being „too sexual” (even though the sports game has English language support), is getting a new version on March 30, exclusively in Japan at the moment. Dead or Alive Xtreme 3: Scarlet will be available on PlayStation 4 and the Nintendo Switch, with a new character, Misaki (who was previously in the PC game Dead or Alive Xtreme: Venus Vacation). On the Switch port, we can have some entertainment with the breasts via the Joy-Cons. (The PlayStation 4 port will be censored, which means the tides have turned: instead of Nintendo, now it’s Sony’s turn to censor games?!)

A Western release is impossible: aside from the „sexualization,” the release of Dead or Alive 6 is too close to its launch…
