Over 1300 members of the United Kingdom’s gaming industry, such as Peter Molyneux (Fable, Populous…), Charles Cecil (Broken Sword), or even Rhianna Pratchett (the writer of Tomb Raider) rejects the Brexit proposal between the UK and the European Union.
Games4EU has written an open letter that says if the United Kingdom leaves the European Union, then its interactive entertainment (media) would receive a dire threat: it would be difficult to hire talent, the customers’ rights would be lost, and there would also be „cultural diminishment.” Therefore, the signees recommend in the letter that the people should vote about staying in the European Union.
The letter was signed by more people than those mentioned in the first paragraph – aside from 127 companies, we could mention Ian Livingstone, Mike Bithell, Dan Gray, Riccardo Zacconi (the CEO of King, known for its mobile games), Hilmar Pétursson (CEO of CCP), but there are also people from outside the UK that signed the letter, such as John Riccitiello, the CEO of Unity. If we add the Tech For UK letters’ 1000+ signers, there are over two thousand people behind the anti-Brexit movement.
The Brexit deal will be voted on by the UK Parliament on December 11 – they have to vote yes for the United Kingdom to exit the European Union on March 19. Still, if non-UK people are standing up for the case, it should mean something, shouldn’t it?

I mean, it’s too late isn’t it? You’ve gone ahead and done it. All that remains is either a deal that makes you somewhat connected to the world, or total isolation and economic decline.
