“Do not betray us”! – The creator of Metro gets emotional over the boycott of Metro Exodus on PC [VIDEO]

As the developers already communicated, it is a movement in which 4A Games has had nothing to do with it.

Dmitry Glukhovsky, besides being the creator of the original novel Metro 2033, is also an essential part in the development of the story of the new video game in the series, Metro: Exodus , actively participating in the creation of the work. After several days of controversy after meeting the temporary exclusivity of Metro Exodus on PC with the Epic Games Store, Glukhovsky himself has come to the media arena to give his opinion after several days of bitter controversy: ask the community not to betray Metro and its developers.

“Over the course of 20 years I have tried to make Metro’s story a reality through various media, including video games, thanks to the support, talent and heroic efforts of 4A Games“, explains the author on his personal Instagram account, “the new Metro Exodus comes out in a week, and I feel that many of you were expecting the launch of the game on Steam and you felt cheated by the publisher’s movements, I understand that they, who have been in charge of financing the game, do things with the aim of find the best solution for the game. ”

It is at the end of the video when the novelist asks the players the same fidelity that he and 4A Games have deposited in the Metro trilogy: “Again, we are sorry, but we hope that you do not betray us, hoping that your loyalty is reciprocal to us with you, offering a history and quality of experience that lives up to expectations. ” Glukhovsky had some controversial words about Steam on Instagram a few days ago: he said that “Steam was not enough for our steam train”, a message he deleted shortly after hanging it.

Beyond the boycott and controversy, the videogame is released on PS4, Xbox One and PC next February 15.
