Multiple Old Games Are Getting Console Ports!

Beamdog and Skybound Games announced that six older games (including classics!) will be getting console ports for the first time!

The six titles speak for themselves: Baldur’s Gate, Baldur’s Gate II, Baldur’s Gate: Siege of Dragonspear, Icewind Dale, Planescape: Torment, Neverwinter Nights – these titles’ Enhanced Editions will be coming to unannounced consoles, although the post’s tags include PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, meaning the ports are likely being made for these platforms sometime this year.

As BioWare’s co-founder and ex-lead programmer (Trent Oster, Cameron Tofer) founded Beamdog, the company responsible for the Enhanced versions of the games on PC (and now consoles), the development will effectively stay on home soil. (Although the development was done by the development arm of Beamdog called Overhaul Games…)

We can’t wait to see how Baldur’s Gate will run on the Switch – that will have some sort of a perverted approach, won’t it?

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
