Two More Games Are Available For Free For A Limited Time!

Before the E3, everyone started to give games away. It’s not December, but okay, we’ll take them.

So after discussing The Sims 4 becoming temporarily free yesterday, we’ll double the stakes, as there are two more games on PC that you can acquire for free. The first one is RiME, which is available via the Epic Games Store, who happens to have its Mega Sale running at the moment. Tequila Works’ game became infamous two years ago for the absolutely abhorrent implementation of Denuvo (which should be forgotten already, as it always impacts the performance, or AT LEAST the loading times…), making RiME run like garbage. (You can see in this Cyrillic lettered video for yourself here.) You’ll need an Epic Games account, as well as its launcher to play the game. It’s a decent adventure, platformer, puzzle game, which is free until May 30.

The other freebie is available via Humble Bundle’s site, and it is a DRM-free game that requires one download and nothing else, unlike RiME: it’s Jalopy. In it, a man and his uncle are travelling across Eastern Europe to get to Istanbul. All you need to do is to subscribe to Humble’s newsletter here, and if you want a Steam code, you can also get that for one dollar between May 25 and June 1, meaning you should hurry up. Our car, a Laika 601 Deluxe, which we’ll simply call what it is (a Trabant 601…), will break down a lot, so you’ll have to keep track of its health, so to speak. From the trunk’s weight to the car’s engine, anything could make your journey come to a halt. Upgrading is possible… for money. Good luck finding that.

So if you are bored with The Sims (or aren’t interested in installing Origin), give Jalopy a try. Have fun.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
