Schwarzenegger Killed a Bad Guy with His Own Arm in a Crazy Commando Deleted Scene [VIDEO]

MOVIE NEWS – Arnold Schwarzenegger had the best idea for Commando, studio fat cat didn’t like it. At all.

The actor dropped the Terminator: Dark Fate trailer on social media yesterday morning, after which resulted a conversation Q&A with fans started. Schwarzenegger has been in the news quite a bit lately with the release of the new Terminator movie on the horizon and also his recent attack in South Africa, where an unknown man snuck up behind Arnold and dropkicked him in the back, though Arnie barely felt it thinking he’d been pushed by the crowd. Video of the incident has since gone viral.

While he spoke to fans questions on social media, Arnold Schwarzenegger was thanked by an audience member and reminded of good deeds he has done over the years. Still, things took a turn towards some fun, when the actor was asked if he knew how hilarious 1985’s Commando was when they were shooting it. Besides answer the question, Schwarzenegger also revealed an idea he had for a scene. He had this to say about the unintended comedy in Commando.

“As soon as a carried a thousand pound log with one arm I knew it was funny. But let me share the scenes you didn’t see that I tried to get in. I wanted to cut off a guy’s arm and kill him with it. This wasn’t in the script. He would throw a knife at me and after he missed, while his arm was still extended, I chop it off at the shoulder with a machete and beat him to death with it. Needless to say, I was asked by the head of the studio, Larry Gordon to come to his office. And he said ‘what the (f*ck) is the matter with you? Do you want to make money with this movie or an X-rated movie?’ I said, ‘you’re right’ and he said, ‘get the f*ck out of my office.'”

Of course, the arm beating scene would have been pretty over the top and would have probably become the hit of Commando. When asked about a possible one-liner after the beating, one fan suggested, “Thanks for lending me a hand,” to which Arnold replied with, “You’re hired.” It’s nice to see the actor having such a good time and having a good sense of humor about himself and his career.

Commando was a huge hit at the box office when it was released in 1985. The cult action movie was able to earn over $57.5 million against a $10 million budget and it became the seventh highest grossing R-rated movie of 1985. In addition to Arnold Schwarzenegger, the movie also starred Rae Dawn Chong, Alyssa Milano, Vernon Wells, Bill Duke, and Dan Hedaya. The movie enjoyed even greater success when it was released on home video.

Terminator: Dark Fate is hitting theaters on November 1st, so we can probably expect to see a lot more of Arnold Schwarzenegger as he continues to do press for the highly anticipated sequel. Fans of the Terminator franchise are excited to see him back with Linda Hamilton on the big screen and interested to see what Gabriel Luna’s new Terminator has in store for everybody.
