The game is far from being completed, which is why it lacks a few things and has flaws, but still, it looks like Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines‘ sequel has the potential to become successful.
In the Masquerade areas, it looked like the player was able to run up the walls of buildings or jump off from the top of them without getting penalized, despite non-vampiric people seeing these deeds. It’s going against the set of rules, which is why we say that Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2‘s developers, Hardsuit Labs (who previously released Blacklight: Retribution, which already shut down on PC, while the PlayStation 4 port is still alive) has a lot to do to avoid such a thing happening in the retail version. (After all, it’s not Prototype where you could do whatever you want.)
Still, Seattle still looks entirely promising – the developers already hit the right notes with it, and if you can overcome criticising the game for its incomplete state, you might quickly end up enjoying the ambience (which is also helped by the music, too!), which might also be a good point in the retail version. It already has the charm the original Bloodlines had about 1.5 decades ago. Therefore, this RPG could become a pleasant surprise, but perhaps the twenty-minute video shouldn’t have been recorded with the player using a controller. (Find out the rest for yourself – get a cold beer in this warm if you’re from Central-Eastern Europe.)
Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is going to be published by Paradox Interactive (from who we discussed Romero Games’ new, Prohibition-era gangster strategy title yesterday) in March 2020 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. And there’s another Vampire: The Masquerade game is in development, too!
