Death Stranding disappears from the PS4 exclusive list

Hideo Kojima has already confirmed that Death Stranding will be present at Gamescom 2019.

Shortly after confirming that the game will be at Gamescom 2019, Hideo Kojima’s new video game has disappeared from the PS4 exclusive video game list on the official PlayStation 4 page, which obviously suggests that the creator’s new job Metal Gear Solid series could announce its launch on other platforms in the coming weeks.

So far the only official thing is that Death Stranding goes on sale on PS4 in November of this year. Since Hideo Kojima will attend the Gamescom Opening Night event on August 19, the Japanese creative could take the opportunity to talk about a version of Death Stranding for PC that was announced almost four years ago, and which has not since been I know nothing again, to the point of thinking that the game would be totally exclusive to PS4.

If we add to this the fact that the mention “Only on PS4” does not appear on the cover of Death Stranding, it seems clear that sooner or later we will watch the video game of Hideo Kojima on other platforms. It only remains to wait at the end of August to discover the news of what is one of the most anticipated video games of the year.

The recently unveiled cover art has always been missing the ‘Only on PlayStation’ logo, which seems to be another give away that it’ll appear on other formats at some point.

Unlike Microsoft there’s usually never a PC version of a PlayStation 4 exclusive made by an internal Sony studio, but Death Stranding is by Hideo Kojima’s own company – which may leave them free to make a PC version if they want.
