Mario’s new ghostly adventure debuts even surpassing Zelda: Link’s Awakening.
The great Luigi’s Mansion 3 has become one of the best selling games in the UK during the last week, but the new Nintendo Switch exclusive is not alone in that since it has also been the game with the best premiere of the year on the hybrid console if we stay exclusively with physical sales.
Without specific data it is worthy of praise considering that it has competed with such important titles as Super Mario Maker 2 or The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening. As GamesIndustry recalls, the fact that Luigi’s Mansion 3 was released on a Thursday instead of Friday, earning another day, would have influenced this milestone, but that does not detract from that which is one of the best games of the year.
The good news doesn’t end here. Luigi’s Mansion 3 has sold 140% more physical games than its predecessor, the notable Luigi’s Mansion 2 from Nintendo 3DS, which ended up selling more than 5.5 million games worldwide. If you have not yet done with the game, you can check our analysis of Luigi’s Mansion 3 to discover everything that this fun action-adventure and puzzle offers.
