WRATH: Aeon Of Ruin: The „Not-Quake” Will Not Launch This Year [VIDEO]

Until then, we can only play this dark fantasy horror FPS via Steam Early Access.

KillPixel Games (the devs) and 3D Realms with 1C Entertainment (the two publishers) announced that the game will not be complete this year. It also doesn’t seem to get a next-gen version, meaning only the current console trio (PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch) will receive WRATH: Aeon of Ruins.

If you want to get a physical copy of the game, then get some money ready, and visit this website. The Founder’s Edition Big Box will be limited to just 500 copies (why not make more than that? Some people prefer to have physical copies of games!), and it will contain the game on CD-ROM (so it will be smaller than 700 MB?), „The Art of Wrath” art book, the original soundtrack by Andrew Hulshult, a USB drive loaded with exclusive digital content, five metal enemy figurines, a reversible poster, and some exclusive stickers.

Until then, the game is getting updated on Steam. It now received the second content update, so now, we have one hub world, four levels, six weapons, ten enemy types, and five artifacts in WRATH: Aeon of Ruin. The devs announced a roadmap, which is quite transparent from them. Between August 6 to 9, 2020, a „Big Content Surprise” will arrive, which is yet to be announced. On December 22, 2020, Content Update #3 comes with one new level, enemy, and artifact.

On February 25, 2021, the complete game will have three hub worlds, 15 levels, 10 artifacts, nine weapons, 15 enemies and bosses, multiplayer, full mod support, and localization. This is also the day when it will launch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. Seems fair enough.
