Crash Bandicoot 4: Almost Three Times The Size, More Than 100 Levels

This week, Activision unveiled the sequel Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, and while most fans were delighted to be able to take control of this particular marsupial again, many questioned the game’s $ 60 price tag. Not coincidentally, Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy offered three full games for just $ 40, so how does Activision justify claiming a full price for a game now? Well, it looks like Crash Bandicoot 4 will be a bigger game than the three games in the original trilogy combined. Based on a GameStop ad that is now circulating and shared by a Twitter user named Broski, there are over 100 levels in the game!

Not bad! The original Crash Bandicoot, by the way, had 26 levels, there were 27 in Crash 2 and 32 in Crash 3, for a total of 85 levels. Of course, it’s not yet known how long the levels will be in Crash 4, but we can only expect a triple-sized game based on mere numbers.

Here are some key features of the game:

  • It’s About Time! – picking up where the original trilogy left off, Neo Cortex and Dr. Nefarious Tropy have escaped their interdimensional prison and in doing so have fractured the boundaries of time and space. It’s up to crash and coco to save the day.
  • Bend the rules of reality – Manipulate time, flip your world upside down, and bend the rules of reality as you master the four powerful quantum masks. Learn all new abilities with each mask and unite them to restore order to the multiverse.
  • Defy logic. And fashion sense – New abilities? Check. More playable characters? Yep. Alternate dimensions? Obviously. Ridonkulous bosses? For sure. Same awesome sauce? You bet your sweet jorts. Wait, are they actually jorts? Not in this universe!

Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time will spin onto Xbox One and PS4 on October 2nd.
