The Director Of Fallout NV Is Working On A Game That Is Not Avowed

The Obsidian team is currently working on several projects, one of which is being led by Josh Sawyer – which won’t be Avowed!

Since they have signed the exclusivity with Microsoft, Obsidian is working hard on several projects. Grounded has just come out recently, in Preview Version for Xbox One and PC, a survival proposal with miniature people who must survive against all kinds of insects. Avowed was also introduced during the last Xbox Games Showcase, a fantasy RPG announced for Xbox Series X based on the world of Eora. And they’re also about to release the first The Outer Worlds DLC.

As if that were not enough, and without expecting it, Josh Sawyer, director Fallout: New Vegas and of the Pillars of Eternity saga, has confirmed by surprise that he is working for Obsidian with his own project of which, for the moment, nothing is known. But his words have been enough to generate expectation on the internet, especially considering the creative’s works.

Although Sawyer has not said anything else about it, speculation has started online, and there are those who point out that it is a confirmation of the development of Pillars of Eternity 3, the saga for which the creative is responsible for. Furthermore, Avowed is considered as a reinterpretation of the license. Whether it is finally the third instalment of this series or if it is a new IP, probably with RPG touches, we will have to wait to find out.

Meanwhile, the Obsidian calendar is littered with projects that are growing the company. Even with genres that take them away from their comfort zone, as has been the case of Grounded, which has left very good feelings to those who have enjoyed their early access, available in Game Pass for PC and Xbox One.
