SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated… Behind the record-long title are successful sales. But how many games have found its owner?
The last adventure of the character who lives in a pineapple at the bottom of the sea is a success.
Sometimes the sales of video games are most surprising. This is what happened with the latest game starring SpongeBob SquarePants, which has taken advantage of the pull of the Nickelodeon character and has sold a million copies since its launch. A more than excellent figure, considering that SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated went on sale in June.
The data was revealed by Lars Wingefor, CEO of Embracer Group in a financial meeting on the business area of THQ Nordic. The figure, obviously, adds up all the platforms on which the game is available: PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.
The game is one of those cases in which the critic does not flatter it too much, but it dazzles the users. Proof of this is that it has an average of 9 in Metacritic for the public, a score that contrasts with the 68 it has from critics.
Nice sales, right? Let’s take a look at the gameplay trailer:
