This time, the project would need a leading producer, which is quite worrying about the state of development of Metroid Prime 4.
One is seriously thinking about what will happen around the next Samus Aran adventure’s development…

Retro Studios, the studio responsible for the Metroid Prime saga, has launched a new job post on Twitter looking for a leading producer for Metroid Prime 4. The position to be filled may raise some doubts about the state of the game, which seems more difficult to develop than a Samus Aran, the bounty hunter’s fan would like.
The person they are looking for at Retro Studios should take the lead in the entire project alongside Kensuke Tanabe and the rest of the team. The remit would include communicating the progress of the project to the public. This is not the only open position: there are several open positions on the Retro Studios site for designers, developers and animators.
At first glance, maybe there is a bit too much of free space at the company… Of course, this can mean several things. Maybe it’s also true that Retro Studios is developing multiple games at once. None of the job postings states openly that they are looking for staff for Metroid Prime 4, except, of course, for the senior producer job mentioned above, which is also advertised on the tweet. Of course, this can also mean that the team is preparing to invest a lot of money in the project, but it also shows that the development is not going as well as the fans want it to be.
Metroid Prime 4 was announced in 2017, and we learned of a restart of development in 2019.
Nintendo hasn’t told us anything about Metroid Prime 4 for long enough, except that development “is going as planned.” And the truth is that the game was announced 3 years ago and then in January 2019, as they were not happy with the work done, the project restarted and went to Retro Studios, to those responsible for one of the most successful eras in the series’ history.
All we’ve seen so far is just a short amusing trailer with the game’s logo. Metroid Prime 4 is still a big missing title of Nintendo’s offering.
