Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070: release date delayed to deal with lack of stock

TECH NEWS – According to Nvidia, the delay will help get more Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 units in stores.

A little bad news for those of you who are hoping to upgrade their computer with the new GeForce RTX 3070 graphics card. Nvidia has announced, through its official website, that it is delaying its launch for a couple of weeks. The card was supposed to come out on October 15, but now it will come out on October 29. The reason for the date change has to do with stock problems.

According to Nvidia in the statement, consumers have insisted that “there should be more cards available on launch day.” Therefore, to meet the high demand that presumably the RTX 3070 is going to have, a very powerful graphics that will cost about 519 euros, Nvidia has decided to make this decision to change the release date.

What’s more, its release on October 29 should help stores have more units, or at least that’s what Nvidia says: “We know this can be disappointing for those who are eager to buy an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 ASAP. However, this change will help our global partners put more graphics cards in the hands of gamers on launch day. ”

Nvidia graphics cards are also the object of desire for bitcoin miners, beyond gamers, and these practices often break the stock. Still, let’s hope this move by Nvidia makes it easier for more players to get their graphics. By the way, if you buy one of the new 30 series graphics cards, Nvidia will give you one year of GeForce Now for free.
