Assassin’s Creed Mirage: The Creators Might Plan To Make A Sequel?!

To date, no major updates or expansions have been announced for Assassin’s Creed Mirage.

One of the franchises that many gamers are most excited about is Assassin’s Creed. Ubisoft is aware that the future of the assassin franchise is its best commercial performance in years. But Assassin’s Creed Mirage was a challenge for the French company, as it represented a return to its roots. The move worked, at least in terms of sales. AC Mirage was born as an idea to launch new expansions for AC Valhalla. Over the years, the latter has been expanded with three more.

However, it looks like Assassin’s Creed Mirage’s story isn’t over yet either, at least that’s what the game’s creative director Stéphane Boudon suggests in a Reddit thread.

He hinted that the company has ideas for developing the story of the protagonist, Basim. “We are excited about the reception of the Mirage,” he says, referring to sales. He also mentions that there won’t be any expansions for the game: “We designed Mirage as a stand-alone experience, we don’t plan on DLC.”

“We have ideas on how to expand Basim’s story, that’s for sure. But as of today, we have no plans for post-release content,” explains the head of Ubisoft. This rules out the possibility of Basim’s story continuing in the form of an expansion. Mirage, on the other hand, won’t get any major updates:

“We don’t have another big update planned, but we’ll continue to monitor the game and listen to player feedback,” he says.

It’s worth remembering that AC Mirage has received features such as New Game+ and Permanent Death Mode in recent months.

Are the creators of Assassin’s Creed Mirage working on another AC title?!

Just yesterday, we reported that Ubisoft is changing the Assassin’s Creed formula with its most terrifying game, Codename Hexe. But we’ve known for months that the creators of AC Mirage are already working on developing the next game in the franchise. It turns out that Ubisoft Bordeaux has hired a screenwriter to work on the title. The series has a promising future, but we know that Assassin’s Creed Codename Red, which will be released in 2024, is set in Japan.
